What is HCCS?

Hispanic Community Counseling Services (HCCS) is a nonprofit mental health agency dedicated to providing culturally and socially competent behavioral health services to Latino and multicultural communities in Philadelphia. We offer therapy, incorporate social determinants of health in treatment, and support individuals and families facing behavioral health challenges.

What are your office hours?

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Evening and weekend appointments may be available via telehealth upon request.

Where is HCCS located?

Our main office is located at 3156 Kensington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134. Our satellite office is located at 1952 E Allegheny Ave, 2nd Floor

Who can receive services at HCCS?

Our services are available to individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We specialize in serving the Latino community but welcome individuals from all backgrounds.

What types of mental health services do you offer?

HCCS provides a range of services, including:

What should I do in a mental health crisis?

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call 911 or the Philadelphia Crisis Line at (215) 685-6440. For immediate support, you can also call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.

Can I refer someone to HCCS for services?

Yes! Referrals can be made by family members, healthcare providers, schools, or community organizations. To refer someone, please call our office at (215) 425-6901.

Do you offer bilingual services?

Yes! We have a multicultural and multilingual team fluent in English and Spanish to ensure accessibility and effective communication for all our clients.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept Medicaid, Medicare, and other major insurance plans. If you are uninsured or have concerns about coverage, our team can assist you in exploring available options.

What is Mobile Therapy, and who is eligible?

Our Mobile Therapy Program brings mental health services directly to seniors in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, their homes, and other community settings. This program is designed to serve individuals 50 and older who face barriers to accessing in-office care.

Are telehealth services available?

Yes, we offer telehealth services for those who prefer virtual appointments. Telehealth provides a convenient and secure way to receive mental health support from home. Don’t forget to let us know when meeting with our intake specialist.

How does HCCS support the community beyond therapy?

In addition to therapy, we provide community outreach, educational workshops, staff training, and collaborations with local organizations to promote mental wellness and advocacy.
